Which one would you choose and why? I want to pull the trigger but cant decide. FOIS's non standard lug width bothers me a bit as I cant use any of my current straps but I do love its hands!

FOIS. It is the less obvious choice. The lack of bracelet is a bit cheap though on Omega's part.

I am actually with you all the way Dennis. I have a 3570 which I never wear and may as well sell but I felt I had to get one since it is supposedly the be all and end all of Omegadom. The lack of date and having to wind the damn thing are a bind. I much prefer the auto BA version but don't really wear that much either!

There I said it. On Omegaforums too!

I would if I could but I won't because I can't pull the trigger on " The Chosen One " who brings balance to the Omega Force[emoji136] [IMG]

yup. like oddboy said, "its tougher than that" hehe. Well unless while im walking down the street tomorrow and a bag of money hits my head.

im actually the opposite, i hate dates (all my other watches i never set the date) and dont really use a winder for my watches so i end up having to start them up again anyways (i dont wear the same watch for more than 2 consecutive days) which makes manual wind pretty good for me too. I think your 3570 may have a happier life on my wrist, watcha say...haha.

yesss the '57 reissue is top on my list in a heartbeat...only if i had that much cash to burn. Those hands, that dial, the bezel = absolute perfection.

Get a Rolex GMT. Heck ! Your profile name looks like a reference number anyway...

We gonna play that typical-bash-a-newbie-on-a-forum game?
Rolex GMTs have been straight up beaten with the ugly stick, so has lady fox. No thanks.

yeaaa...although i can see myself wearing either speedys with a brown leather strap most of the time anyways. Bracelet would be nice for those more formal occasions for sure

I personally chose the Pro. While quite good looking, the FOIS is a bit smaller than I typically prefer in my watches. However, it's completely subjective preference between these two references and there are plenty of people whom are happy with either...or both!

Been reading around, FOIS has "disappearing" hands? I didnt notice that issue in the AD i was at while trying it on but then again, I wasnt there looking at it at all angles for hours.

Wow, dude. Started off so well, that took a serious left turn. I think she meant your username resembles a Rolex reference, like 16750 (which is a GMT-Master with quickset date) or 16710 etc. Doubt she was bashing, definitely didn't deserve a comment like that IMO

Anybody calling a GMT "beaten with an ugly stick" deserves a bashing...;)

Thank You @Faz . No hard feelings [emoji136]
I would suggest that the OP try out both FOIS & the regular Speedy at the AD or OB. That's the only way. I was a little surprise to find that the 39.7 mm CK2998 LE looked rather small on my wrist. I prefer the 41.5 mm Speedy 57' & the 42 mm Speedy actually...
Maybe I just prefer larger size watches that's all. The Coke is a different story

I really want to like the speedmaster and of the pro and the FOIS I'd chose the FOIS. However if truth be told I think I'd rather go with an IWC Pilot Chrono before a speedy.

First off, she wasn't bashing anyone. Hazing n00bs is my job. Hazing douchebag n00bs a little harsher is extra fun, and you qualify after that statement.

Second, put on man pants and make a friggin' decision. Topics like "Which watch should I buy and why?" belong on Watchuseek.

Third, Miss Fox hasn't been in the same zip code as the ugly stick is. C'mon now, be honest - a hottie pointing a gun at you is kind of a turn on, ain't it? ;)
So whatcha got there Miss Fox? A Kimber? :p:p:p:p:p I surrender! ;)
