Just got myself 145.026 flightmaster, any info on cost replacing glass and polish in omega service center ?
There's actually a thread about Flightmaster crystals running here: http://omegaforums.net/threads/advice-needed-for-flightmaster-910.13520/ Your example looks rather nice, if you polish it you will reduce its value, I'd leave that alone and just replace the crystal. I'd also have it done by a quality independent, not the Omega service center.
thanks dsio on prompt feedback and suggestion..... the crystal got scratch all over and ding @ 2 o'clock, at least for surviving 40 years ++ its condition consider quite fine, and I like its 1550 bracelet detail
Regarding the case, if it gets polished the sharpness in the edges will be lost, and the brushed finishing will unlikely ever be quite the same again. Those edges, especially the bevel around the crystal are great, but after polish they'll be smoothed down and rounded.
