What looks like patina for some people, does appear as damage to others, lots of personal taste and appreciation.

To me, the dial is simply damaged and not particularly attractive, if you ask.

It come down to personal taste, I personally don’t like it.

This is a flightmaster in bad condition.

The dial is almost the least of the problems with this Flightmaster, but even that one is not attractive at all!
Are the Chrono pushers correct? They don't seem to be to my eye.
The case's polished finish doesn't look right either, the inner bezel is really bad and the movement seems to have been serviced by an auto mechanic....

The whole watch would be a pass to my eyes.

Appears that there's water damage/rust on the dial, a poorly treated movement (you can see gouges in the screw heads along with muck and what looks like rust, the case is rough, the bracelet is rough.

Here's mine where the subdials have gone brown, the chapter ring a little smoky, and the hands a touch faded... this might not be pleasing to some, but it's in a condition that I find attractive.

I am a patina fan but for my tastes it needs to be relatively uniform. Sorry the one pictured is not very pleasing however tyrantlizardrex's example:thumbsup:

Most turned into dark chocolate, mine become sweet milk chocolate.
To each his own taste.... I guess
