I sent in a Flightmaster early this year and was really unhappy with the quality of the case refinish. Well it took some work and persistence on my end but Omega replaced my watch with... Thank you Omega!
Wow, awesome watch and outcome. Congrats!! The more I look at your pics the more I think I want one!!
Did they keep the flightmaster in exchange for the Mark II ? Or made u a great offer on the MKII while screwing up the flightmaster? Wearing my mk4.5 as I type this Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
They kept the Flightmaster. I said it would take forever for me to sell. And I didn't want to take the time to find a suitable case to swap out.
Very nice pick-up! I have had my Mark II for 6 weeks now. I start my day putting on one of the many others from my collection. When I arrive at work, I switch to my Mark II. It still thrills me when I take it out of its case. As I swap it out at the end of my work day, I don't get the same thrill putting back on any of my others. Like many others have shared before, I typically experience a letdown after purchasing a watch and quickly move my focus to the next "Must Have". So far, there hasn't been even a hint of disappointment. This is my longest "honeymoon" yet. Enjoy yours! Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
I honestly think you came out ahead on that deal. But maybe I'm saying that because I've just never liked the flightmaster style case, and the MkII re-issue w/racing dial looks totally fab.
My Dad owned a Flightmaster and I always loved looking at it as a kid. Unfortunately as a teen it was stolen from my room. I bought this one as a replacement. Well I wasn't interested at this time in sourcing a new case, or finding a new one to be serviced again. But the new MK ii is beautiful and is similar in design to the Flightmaster! So I'm happy.
Winner, winner, chicken dinner! Maybe im biased because i love the mk ii reissue, but i think you came out ahead. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yeah that reissue is nice, and wow did I cringe when I saw your old thread. I am impressed they made this right.
