    Hi All,
Just looking for a bit of input here, the flightmaster I've been playing with these last few days has a rather odd engraving on it's caseback. Down the bottom under the word flightmaster, upside down and not very straight, is the number 2072. No idea what this is except to guess that it might have been an inventory or asset number, since it appears to have been engraved with a typical 'government' lack of care. Has anyone seen anything similar to this by any chance?

Do we know much about the official uses these flightmasters had over the years? Any info would be very much appreciated :)

If I had to guess, based on the font I would say this is not an "official" inventory marking. However thats just a guess.

It's been hand engraved rather than stamped so yes I'd agree it's probably not mainstream military. Love a good mystery like this :)

Time travel. It is the year the collector in the future determines that this very watch saves the world.
