    Hello OF, ive been seriously considering to sell some of my piece to get this Vintage Omega Flat Jedi.

    And i have found one with box and paper but i noticed that the second hand is not orange like some of the flat jedi i saw on this forum.

    Perhaps some of you can help me authenticate the originality of this watch based on the pictures below. (The seller pics) Thanks.

    Every watchmaker can paint that for you. No problem to match the colour. Looks like a nice example. Kind regards. Achim

    Regarding the OP watch; that's not the right bracelet (it should have a 1116/148 though some are found with a 1162 as seen on Speedmaster Mark IIs), and the box isn't original either...

    Mine came on a 1162/172 but I don't know if that had been substituted during its life;

    ... after a good bit of searching, I found a NOS 1116 for it...

    I believe that these were only supplied on 1116/148 and 1171/175

    So its not the original bracelet, not the original box and not the correct second hand?

    Thanks for the info

    It's certainly not the original box (that one is a 1990s era), it's like no Omega bracelet I've seen before so I doubt it's original, and the second hand is wrong. I don't think the seller is necessarily doing anything underhand, they're just a dealer who's fluffing the watch up as much as they can - classic text, eg "The movement is running perfectly and has been carefully checked by our watchmaker.", which means 'it seems to run OK and when we took the back off, it looked like it had a movement in there'. ie. It's not been serviced, I bet.
