If the rumor mill is to be believed, there's an update to the Master Co-Ax 300 coming at some point, and given the types of updates we've seen to other references, it's likely the bracelet fit is going to be addressed. Might be a good time to grab a Speedy in the interim 😉
The lugs on the 300 do make for a poor fit on smaller wrists like mine.
If I remember correctly the Pelagos and Black Bay GMT cases are about the same size. From experience the Pelagos weighs much less especially with the bracelet than the GMT due to its titanium construction. For me the GMT is very uncomfortable with the steel bracelet due its weight and it makes the crow dig into the back of my hand. HOWEVER, with Erikas MN Strap this watch becomes so comfortable. Game changer. Its worth it to experiment with this style strap if you think a certain watch may be on the borderline for you.
It’s not so much the lugs of the 300 that are the problem, but the end-piece of the bracelet. If you compare it to the others the OP tried on, the one striking difference is that the center of the end piece extends beyond the lugs. This means the bracelet also begins the turn-down beyond the lugs. Omega has changed their recent bracelets (i.e., on the Planet Oceans) so the bracelet turns down just at the end of the lugs by eliminating that protrusion on the end-piece.
Put the 300 on a strap and there is no problem at all. I first tried the 300 on a bracelet and did not like it — I bought an older 300 pro on the bracelet instead because it fit my small wrist so much better. But I later tried the 300 on the leather strap and it fit so much better. I bought it and it’s now the one I wear the most.
But if you prefer bracelets, that end-piece really messes up the drape on small wrists.
And since a picture’s worth a thousand words.
The Pelagos just looks like a slab of steel on the wrist.
Pictures like above mean nothing, it’s the feel of a watch that does it.
Several years ago I went to buy a Tudor cash in hand but the large side profile of the watch sent me home watchless. Decided on a Rolex Sub but then Speedy Tuesday 1 happened 😎

I've owned or own all three, although my Speedy is the FOIS.
On my sub-7" wrist, the order is:
1. FOIS
2. SMP 300 Diver (rubber)
3. Pelagos
On bracelets, I'd take the Pelagos over the Seamaster, despite the chunkiness, because the Pelagos bracelet is, for me, far more comfortable and more balanced on the wrist. I didn't particularly like the BB58's looks or fit, and sold mine. When the BB58 blue came out, I bought and returned that too (strap, not bracelet). The Pelagos on the rubber, OEM or Crafer Blue, is a great fit for me also, and that's the config I use when I dive with it. But the SMP on rubber is the most comfortable diving watch I've owned.
