    Hey Guys

    Saw this 165.024 on ebay.

Attractive Patina, but I felt like I recognized it. Indeed I did:

More likely the buyer didn't pay and the Seller relisted. Seller has over 2100 eBay sales. He's been trying to sell 2 Big Triangles. Originally, he had 3 and I did a deal with him on this one which I felt was the best of the bunch (tropical, nicer bezel and 1039/516 bracelet) although it does need a service.

Watch arrived in 2 days. An issue free deal.

Sellers photos. Sorry for the lack of clarity.

I saw it, and I had the feeling it has been relumed. The luminescent markers look very proeminent and the are no pin holes at 12 and 6 o'clock. So, fishy could be the exact word. Or am I off base ?

No. You might be correct. It might be one of those, really nice hard to tell, relumes. Even mine might be to be honestly. Relumes that are very hard to notice don't really bother me a great deal. They should, of course, be disclosed.

Agreed - if the relume was done with care, taking care to sympathetically match with the age of the watch & whatever original lume might remain, I think it's OK. If the seller knows it was done, it should definitely be disclosed... but selling watches is like an old game of "Telephone;" seller #1 may disclose a relume but seller #2 may forget by the time he/she sells, then seller #3 has no idea etc.

I have reservations about this one as well! Original post had a different back pick, it said it was for a 166.024 and I believe this one should have come with a naiad crown, as it's an earlier SN than mine, and mine has the naiad. He later changed the back pick to a 165.024?

OP's questioned watch is re-lumed imho
height of the lume and lack of holes is the
tell. And when re-lumed then the BT veracity
    comes into play

I don't think you can re lume a non BT dial as a BT as you'd also have to remove the '12' marker, or am I wrong?

My understanding is that it has been done.
Not sure how, but something I remember reading
    a couple years back.

I think it is all personal preference. Personally I would rather have a nice professionally relumed dial than one that has ugly green and black plots that look like mold.
