I overcame my analysis paralysis and purchased a “used” 43.5 Planet Ocean on a bracelet fron a fellow in California OCwatchguy. Best deal I found by far. I looked long and hard at new, watchrecon, Chrono24 etc. I initially was looking for the cheapest PO non orange I could find.

2500 movement watches were in the mid 2000s- to $3000 and 8500 watches were in the mid to high $3k. Once I identified the advantages of the 8900, I was stuck. Independent hour hand, micro adjustable bracelet, ceramic bezel, “mid” size at 43.5mm and slightly thinner than the 8500.

Most of the 8900s were $4300 or more, especially those that were non grey market with warranty.

I found this one for $3800. The seller has been outstanding, Chrono24 very helpful and I have a tracking number for a delivery tomorrow. I initially entered my home address were no one would be home to sign for it. I called Chrono24 (They have an office in NYC) and spoke to a real live person immediately who got things straightened.

Cant wait. I won’t be home till Friday night and it will kill me that it is sitting on my desk at work.
