Took a few pictures today. Not happy with how any of the full straight on shots came out. Next time.

Haha! That was my plan too with my c-case as it didn't come with a bracelet when I bought it. I was close to buying a second one just for the bracelet. BUT, bracelets do so up and I bought mine from another member on here. Still reach out to No Mercy as he seems to have an inventory of Omega parts/bracelets 👍

And thanks! I have a soft spot for the versions with dauphine hands. I think they are gorgeous! I do miss it and wish I could keep every watch I buy but that's just not where I'm at in life at the moment. Almost done with school... However, selling that one allowed me to go for a different "c-case" https://omegaforums.net/threads/seamaster-chronograph-145-016-black-dial-serviced.156514/

and like c-case constellations, there are variations to collect. The Panda is next on my list

😁 Didn’t mean too, though this could be a fun c shape tangent for your collection 😉

Sometimes we inadvertently hurt the ones we love.

Congrats on your 168.017! I think they look great on mesh, and I love mine, which says hi:

I'm a fan of the C-shape on watch cases and have a modest collection of 1970s watches in that shape:

Thank you! Looks like we have twin 017s. Very nice CWC. Please add me to the dibs list!

This 1040 has been lying around unsold in Switzerland for while.

The seller is also active on IG as @antikleo.

If he only delivers to a Swiss address let me know.
Is it correct to see stamped on the clasp 1040 No 12 instead J040 No 30?

I noticed that there was no caseback gasket in there in the photos in the first post, If thats just cause it was getting serviced and they hadn't put a new one in yet that's fine, but otherwise you may want to get a caseback gasket put in, I would hate to see such a clean example get water into it.

A lovely piece though, also keep in mind that the 3011 bracelet is also available for the c-case and can be bought new from omega still, its pricey, but its worth consideration, and for such a clean case like this one, a similarly clean bracelet I think would go nicely.

Good eye, thanks for pointing it out! I didn't even notice in my excitement (I took the picture). I wore it around the house for a few days when I got it but it is in desperate need of a service and I'm not currently running it. I'm sending it out for service next week. I'm sure the gasket will be replaced but I will also specifically mention to the watchmaker that it's missing.

Thanks for the bracelet suggestion. I'll have a look. I think my first goal will be getting a 1040. Luckily, I'm very happy with this bracelet so I'm in no rush. I'm almost leaning towards acquiring a 1040 along with another watch. 😁 I figure if a 1040 is $200-250 and I can try to score another C-case for $600-700 that's already a third of the way to the watch. We'll see what happens.

Welcome to the C-case inflicted, there are so many nice dials out there that its very hard to stop at just the one. I really do still need to get that grey sunburst dial at some point...

Be sure to share the next one (and bracelet) with us all in the C-case thread when it arrives 😉

Yes, I've fallen pretty hard for these. It also helps that the prices are lower than some of their brethren like the Pie Pan for example which are nice but I much prefer these C-cases. I think I need at least one of each movement series for a collection. Got the 564, so I need a 751, and a 1011/21, Or maybe one of every reference... I'm getting way ahead of myself. 😁

Aaaaand there it is! The rationalizations and justifications….it’s official, you are now officially a crazy collector.

I had exactly the same thought, I look forward to watching your c-case collection grow too, and I particularly appreciate when someone else also appreciates the 1010 series movements.

My Seamaster “c-case” arrived and is a great companion to Constellation c-case ::stirthepot:: 😁

*Edit- though I will admit the correct bracelet & end links are much harder and more expensive to find.
