    Hi everyone,

For the last month or so I have been a member here and have been learning a lot about vintage Omegas. Since then I have been searching over the internet for just waiting (as most of you suggested) patiently for something to pop up. Finally a couple weeks ago I spotted a bid that seemed pretty reasonable and although I wasn’t actively looking for it, struck me as a decent starter piece. I know people aren’t a huge fan of these quartz pieces but I picked it up for $195 at the end of the day which I thought was a steal. Here are some photos and please don’t hold back to tell me what you think.

Nice pick up, looks like a early to mid 80s model. Enjoy.

Thank you! I was pretty lost at changing the time on the thing. The whole push button quartz is a strange thing.

It’s actually a nice feature on high end quartz movements. As they are accurate if you travel and change time zones it’s very easy to change the time without having to worry about accuracy of the minute hand.

Nice find! Nothing wrong with quartz especially at that price.

I agree, a lot of people scoff at quartz watches but there are quartz movements and then there are quartz movements. Rolex, Patek Philipe etc all used and developed quartz movements.
