First timer - my first Omega

Firstly, my dream Omega is a constellation pie pan with date but I came across this one in my price range so I went for it. And so, here is my first Omega. I’m posting here as a total newbie to ask for a legitimacy check. The crown is signed (but very worn). And I hope the rest looks copacetic. According to the seller it’s from 1968. Thanks in advance!

I think you've found a nice watch.
Some collectors put down the XXX.041 cases but I don't mind them at all.
The dial looks to be in excellent condition, as is the movement.
This reference was released in 1968, but going by the movement serial I'd date the watch to about 1969/1970.

Nice looking watch. I have a couple of these and very much like the .041 case which looks IMHO a little more contemporary than other models of the same era.

Comparatively easy to service and parts are easy enough to source and these comparatively inexpensive Omegas are fine for both formal and casual use.

Thanks for the feedback, folks. I really appreciate it! So relieved I didn’t end up getting a fake or Franken. 😮‍💨
A decent start. I plan to shoot for the stars (pun intended) and one day land me a constellation. 🙏

Funnily enough, I progressed in the same way - and, perhaps because I like the 041 case - went for the 168.017 Connie

The watch appears to be legit. It's hard to tell from the photos, but there may be some brassing at the ends of the lugs.
