New member, like others I've been on the form for some time gathering information and salivating on watches... I'm happy to say, my very first Omega came in Friday and I love this thing! My wife thinks I'm nuts because I'm always looking at it.. I normally wear a diver style watch, and today was the first time I ever wore a Speedy, I just took the gamble and ordered one and I have to say I love the way it fits and how light it feels. I almost forget its on when compared to the diver, plus the added bonus its a really cool looking watch! Seems to be the thing to post some images of the watch, so here they are. I also tried my best to get a little arty (is that a word?) with the photos. Think I'm hooked! Next speedy please!!!
I think it has to do with a life of racing since I was a kid. Bikes, off road cars and motorcycles. I came across the speedmaster moon watches while helping a friend who's father had just passed, he had a watch collection of about 100+ watches. I really was drawn to the speedmasters in the collection and then I started looking on line to learn more about them. Her brother took the older speedmasters back to SA. Anyway, I saw this Tintin and even though its not really based on racing, when I saw it that is all I associated it with and it struck a cord in me. Guess that is how this works? I like the Japan Racing LE also.

For my first one, want a birthyear Speedy (86's un my case). Despite of all the deal here, not so easy to find... But will be more exciting when I'll fond the ONE.
