First Rolex Daytona

Been on numerous AD lists for a few years, my Daytona finally arrived this week. I now fully understand they hype/pent-up demand for this reference, the watch is proportional, comfortable and conforms very nicely to the wrist. The hands, markers and sub-dials are easy to read and when exposed to direct sunlight, the dial comes to life.

Truly one of few recent modern releases worth purchasing in my mind, (PP 5960 perhaps being the other.)

Highly recommend it to anyone who's on the fence.

Best

Congrats! I have been nosing about at ADs and online, and I couldn鈥檛 agree more on the proportions and fit! They appear huge in pictures, but in reality fit very nicely on the wrist 馃憤

I want one. But since I have no friends with Rolex. Never bought a new Rolex. My waiting time is like 10 years. I may never get one. 馃檨 Congrats. Beautiful watch.

Great watch. Congrats. I prefer 5 digit in respect of subs/gmt鈥檚. the Daytona is the only ceramic Rolex I like and would get. Enjoy!

I love the Daytona but it always seems small on my wrist. I wish it looked at good as it does on your wrist. Beautiful watch, congrats!

I'm 6 months into my 4 year wait! How long did you have to wait?

It took about 3 years, I had also done business with the shop before as well.

Looks very nice. I was just in Shreve in SF today and they indicated that Rolex is being very parsimonious with the popular sports references. They had no steel Dayronas, Submariners, Sea Dwellers, or Airkings in stock. And of course no Batman鈥檚 or Hulks

Let me guess. They did happen to have eleven jumbo, two-tone datejusts though.
