Spend the day at the WTA learned that's it's a cash only sale big mistake when I only had €800 in my back pocket and a credit card burning a hole in my pocket . Anyway managed to pick the 1936 manual wing up today for a reasonable price, once I get back to Scotland I'll post some photos of the movement, but in the mean time can anyone tell me the model ?
I think it might be a slightly later Cal 30 (T1 ?) from around 1939-1942... 1936 would be too early for a Cal. 30 Can you provide movement serial# or more pictures?
Heading home today after an amazing time at the WTA will defiantly be back . Once in home I'll open the back and upload some photos of the case back and movement. Thanks Steve
In work today popped the case back of the watch to fine the movement looked in remarkably good condition . The seller did say that it was resonantly serviced. Sorry for the poor quality of the photos . What's your thoughts
looks like a cal. 30 (not T1 or T2), movement in nice condition... Sorry that it is a rather small watch, I guess around 33/34mm They are also available at 37,5 mm which wear nicer on the wrist
If the ratchet wheel is still chewing at the inside of the case back, you might want to get that fixed...the debris this is creating will not help the movement at all...
Yes, may be original although the gap between the 2 serial## is a bit large... only an extract will tell you for sure
Mac, Measured the case just for piece of mind case reads 32.4 could round it up 32.5 or down. The watch dial has a lovely pattina going on that attracted me to it in the first place.
Hi Archer, I did see the swirl marks on the case back and was wondering that could have made that mark, when I opened the case this afternoon there was no sign of metal flinging .the seller that I bought it from did tell me that he had the watch serviced not to long age it seems to keep very good time given its age. I’ll keep an eye on it now I’m aware of this. Thanks for the good advice Steve
start with getting the case screws back in. that might take care of the ratchet wheel marks.... kind regards. achim
