Hi- first post here, recently aquired 1990 Ref. 3590.50. No recent service, which leads to:

Noticed that if I start the stopwatch, the next day the watch is slow...like 10 minutes slow. Is this a "well, here's your sign to get it serviced, silly!" situation?

Also, am based in mid-west, so would be fed'exing watch to get it serviced-> how do I pick between the locations? (call to ask timing?)
Have to say Omega site walking me through what a service would cost was super helpful!
Thank you--

most here will recommend an independent watchmaker with Omega parts account, NOT Omega official service- there are threads here with recommendations including one in Indiana highly recommended by an OF member. Use the search functions here and type "find a watchmaker midwest" or something like that.
Omega official service is generally very costly, take much longer, and will often replace multiple vintage parts even if not wanted by owner.

Well that is super helpful! Much appreciated will do some digging around and try to get up to speed; i've continued to test and alas, it is running (losing 4 momniutes a day) slowly even when NOT running the chrono...

I'm with SOG53 on this. A reputable local watchmaker will be your best option all around.

Stoll & Co. in Dayton may be a good bet. Ebay uses them for authentication, and my local omega AD sends their non warranty repairs there. Omega will take 2-3 months and cost you close to a grand.

Thank you! I have family there so could combine a visit with a drop off! will investigate that--cheers
