Lovely watch. The sword hands are my favorite. While the bezel is ceramic, the case is stainless steel. It would typically be referred to as a stainless diver. The photo below is an example of a ceramic SMP for reference. Both watches are very cool!

Ah i see- i had thought the ceramic referred to the bezel vs aluminum. The more you know! I celebrated the pickup with some classic goldeneye 007 the next day!

You’re correct—I mean, the terms can be slippery, but it’s not wrong to refer to your watch as a ceramic SMP (as distinct from earlier models with an aluminum bezel).

Also, not sure why the previous poster mentioned sword hands. None of the posted images in this thread feature sword hands.

Loving my new to me Seamaster Pro Ceramic!

Actually most collectors refer to that model as Seamaster Pro Ceramic as it was the first Seamaster Pro with a ceramic bezel

Thanks for the clarification. The hands are similar to my 2581. I guess I confused terminology as well. Is there a correct name for the hands on the watches above?

The hands with the hollow area on the shank (as in all the ones pictured in this thread) are often called “skeleton hands,” I assume because they look ‘skeletal,’ so to speak.
