First time having a watch serviced so this is a post more for newbies. I sent my 2010 SMP 300M directly to the Swatch Group service center in New Jersey. They received my watch on September 18th, 2020 and I received it back today from the Miami service center, November 1st, 2020. Not too bad of a turn-around given the current conditions. The watch looks like new again. What was surprising is that during my initial call to the service center they said to just send the watch and include contact information in the package! That is one awesome watch, and it looks as though the OSC have done a great job.

I have exactly the same watch, same vintage, mine went to the UK service centre 12 months ago, it took 6 weeks and the watch came back, as yours has, looking like new. There is one problem, it doesn't stay looking like new for long, still only 9 years to go before its next trip to the spa.

Enjoy the watch, my AD reckons that Omega will be able to service the watches for another 20 or so years, so that is good news.

And... That’s it. It’s just to inform people who haven’t yet had their service what the experience is like. I was quite surprised that there was no way to “pre-book” the service on-line, print a label or office service request, prior to shipping. When I send a pair of shoes in to get re-soled their in an online procedure prior to sending.

I really love this watch. I actually have two and plan to sell this one. Long story how i ended up with two. I’ve been trying to find-out how long they made this particular reference. Any idea?

Well I think the pictures are part of the story. The watch looks great and didn't take too long nor was a complicated process to get it serviced up.

Anyone else go through the (Culver City, CA) Service Center and get one of those cards that OP has? I got mine serviced this year and I sure as hell didn't....

I did get mine back with some issues though...

Damn, I love this model Seamaster diver. I couldn't get on with the new one - it was too big for me. Glad that you had a pleasant and straightforward service experience with Omega! You don't normally hear about the good ones!

I always got the card but had so many issues with the Miami service center that I said hell with it, never again. Nesbit's for me!

Nice! I always recommend people to go back to the manufacturer for modern watches. There's nothing that can really go wrong and the bill is usually cheaper than an independent (in my experience anyway) ;)

I was quoted $1025 for a full service on a 2003 Seamaster 120, including a dial, hands and clasp replacement. Yikes. For sentimental reasons I am doing it, but feel like I'm being taken to the cleaners a bit.

The younger you are, the better of an investment in happiness it is.

That was a quick turn around. Took me 2 months for just a clasp replacement.

The bulk of that cost is the dial and clasp likely. Is this at Omega? Is there an obvious reason to replace the dial and hands?
