I am looking to make my first purchase of an Omega watch, Mark II with the orange (327.10.43.50.06.001). I have been considering whether to purchase from an authorised dealer or a grey-market dealer. I think I would be more comfortable with an authorized dealer. I am not sure, however, which authorized dealer to use. I spoke to authorized dealer who quoted a price of $4800, and he seemed to have some additional room to move. Some posts seem to suggest that authorized dealers can get close to grey-market prices, but I don't know what close means, and the quote is about $1000 more than grey market. Can anyone recommend some good authorized dealers to contact? What is a good price on a Mark II with the orange? Fair price? Great price? I know want to purchase out of state to avoid sales tax, but the one dealer I talked to included shipping.

Since authorized dealers don't advertise discounts, is the only way to compare price to actually call each dealer?
