Hi,

Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday. I collect hand winding watches. I do not have an Omega yet. I have seen the one in the picture and I am interested in it. Could you please kindly provide some insight? Is it real? How much should I pay for it ? (comes without a service)

Thanks a lot
May you be well and happy

It's all genuine (maybe the crown is a replacement.
Reference MD 135.041.
The gold plating is worn overall and corrosion has eaten away on the rear of one of the lugs.

Theses are relatively common and the all stainless steel version would be a better option.
As to price.
Depends on your location and how reckless you are with your watch budget.

I’m not sure I’m seeing any corrosion. A bit of surface tarnish but that’s not an issue.

Entry level watch, maybe £250

As noted the case is severely worn, I wouldn't waste your money on this one.

I’m still unsure whether it’s corrosion or normal tarnish on the gold layer.
Kinda irrelevant anyway as the wear to the gold cap is severe enough.

Thanks Jim. I also like the one below. What do you think? Other than it's really old. I am into old watches. I have never seen the one below anywhere else. Is it legit? Thanks

As noted above, the plating on the OP watch is completely worn away, exposing the base metal. It's legit, but a poor example of an entry-level vintage Omega.

The 2nd watch is also in very poor condition, and I'm not sure it's totally legit, TBH.

The third is probably legit, but very unappealing.

I suspect that you are finding all of these unattractive watches in poor condition because you are searching with a budget that is too low to get a decent Omega. Penny-wise and pound-foolish.

It’s not the movement that’s a problem it’s the very worn case again.
