Four months ago I found myself in London on the day before my wife's birthday trying to buy her a nice watch with no real idea about anything. More by luck than judgement I ended up with a Deville Prestige with a mother of pearl face, which went down very well. It did rather show up my own watch, and for the last three months I have been planning to get my own - mainly visiting this forum with a couple of trips to the AD. Initially I assumed that I would get a Speedy or a Seamaster 300 Diver but when I went to the AD it was the blue Orbis Hour Vision that caught my eye. Then I read a thread talking about the AT, whether to go with a leather or stainless steel strap (definitely stainless) and how it was the perfect everyday watch. So back into the AD, this time with my daughter for style advice, compared the Hour Vision with the AT (and a few others) and went with the blue AT. Beautiful and really happy with my choice. Also only a hundred or so more than a grey dealer. The only problem is what next. Hesalite Moonwatch or Seamaster 300 co-axial (like the weight of the titanium but prefer the black of the stainless steel)? Anyhow that can wait and thanks to the forum. Even if I am one of those who just reads and never posts, the info and advice has been really helpful
Fantastic watch! The AT is the all around nicest of all the modern makes and models I've seen. Next up? Sm300 coax mc? Globemaster? Welcome to OF!
Great "goes with everything" watch. Concerning your 2nd watch... take your time ... learn for yourself what your new one does/doesn't for you and take it from there. Your problem is your first one ticks a lot of boxes already.
Congratulations @pritchardbrown on being a new Omega owner, and welcome to the Forum! I came into Omega watches in the same manner you did: I first bought Mrs.Jones a lovely Ladymatic, and now between the two of us we own a quite a few more. Like you, my first Omega was an Aqua Terra. Since that first purchase I gained an appreciation for what sets Omega apart from other watch makers and then made it a priority to acquire modern pieces that are iconic to Omega, such as the Speedmaster and 300M diver. You couldn't go wrong making a hesalite Speedmaster one of your next purchases, as it is [in my opinion] the most iconic of all.
Love my AT Master Blue. I ended up brushing the center link on the bracelet and like it even better that way. IMO one of the best and simplest watch designs around in it's category.
Congratulations on your new AT!! As for the next one it's a toughy... I found myself flipping a coin on wether to wear my Aqua Terra or Speedy, but my 300MCA always won on the other days. It's just so much more different IMHO that it compliments the AT oh so perfectly.
Excellent choice mate, Speedy Pro next Imo, its the natural second watch to the AT, as the AT does a lot of what the SM300 does.
