first new watch of the year 2024

Although I actually bought it a couple weeks ago.

That's a great-looking watch.

How do we count the year, by when we purchase the watch or when we receive it? Because I have two being shipping currently.

I go by arrival and acceptance.

That would really screw me up with Kickstarters ... backed 4 last year. 1 was supposed to be in december but now they are all coming throughout the year. I haven't bought a watch yet this year, but a few are on their way. 2 shopping carts (1 for the Wise 24k gold dial, 1 for an RZE yellow dial resolute pro) ... 2 ebay auctions with an itchy trigger finger.

Sigh.

I even have 1 watch that I was sent by a kind and loving friend that still needs payment. FML. So do I count that one as "I HAVE IT" but don't technically OWN it yet? 😁
