Hi Everyone..... Came across this one for sale on the net..... Just about 36 mm in diameter... from what I have read there are two case sizes for this model... 34 and a 36 mm.... i think the 36 is more uncommon. case ref 15034 ! the smaller one is 14xxx ( I cant remember off top of my head) .. but time will tell... The dial has issues... aged and moisture damage... I know it will turn some people off.... i buy them as I find them... I love the case design bevels on the outside edges of the lugs... .the King Seiko Shield!!! what more can you ask for?? i know a clean dial... hahahahah
Nice that the seller provided excellent photos that honestly show the condition. I also like the design and condition of the case/lugs.
Hi @Dan S Yes its nice to know what coming in the box... no surprises ! its an honest watch, worn and used... maybe owner got caught in the rain on a hot summer day.... Bill
fortunately, for guys like you and I, there are more aged watches in the vintage world than not. I actually don't like things that look too new. I have a Wyler chronograph from the early 80s that is damn near NOS. I rarely wear it because it just looks like it's fresh out of the box! the ss case is just too shiny. and by the way...that's a nice watch!
Nice pick up, Bill. I think my KS collection is nearly complete with the exception of yours and a j14102e.
HI @samthebutcher Yup we both fall into the " Its too nice to wear " camp sometimes.... kind of a shame to buy but you can pass it up ... Best bill
@efauser Wow you have everything else KS ? that is very cool.... I have a few KS.... but when I read about 1St gen and there was a 36 mm sized one.... i had to hunt one out! Please post some.... best bill
Let me clarify. I have most of the main references. I need the two mentioned earlier and then I’ll start on the variations. There are a boatload and that doesn’t include the Vanacs.
Hi No problem , that is still VERY COOL ! I have a few Citizen Chronomasters too... just amazing for the $$$ and alot of fun.... Best Bill
cant wait till old school scan day !! Just an FYi for old timers like myself ... Friday was " SCAN DAY " on the TZ omega forum in the 1990s... hahahaha bill
I really like the classic lines of this watch. It reminds me of some the earlier seamaster cosmic 2000. DISCLAIMER: Not my watch or photo.
