Can anyone guess what's going to happen to this flightmaster over the next few days? (Apart from reattaching the chrono seconds hand lol ) :) [IMG][IMG][IMG]

You're going to put it on the FS Forum?

    No?

I guess that shitty old case is going on the grinder then ;)
Is the crystal coming out? I can't see how you could do it if not.

Can't wait to see the finished watch.

    Cheers

Jim, you would be correct. Had no idea my intentions were so transparent ;) Someone has had a go at the case before so I don't have any originality concerns here. This is going to be fun :) The crystal will have to come out yes, but also for the reason that it is domed not flat so goodness knows where it's come from!

After a day and a half the case is finally finished - the machining part anyway.....Each of these Omega cases involves a special kind of hell to get right.....

I thought you were going to turn around the 24h hand, which looked to be upside down.....

Since the case appeared to be already polished, I think you came out much better after your effort.

Best of all would have been the case completely unpolished/ untouched IMO, though.

Thanks guys, lanierdams, have a look at my MKII Speedmaster case refinishing thread, details are in there.

Marturx, I'm not a fan of old beaten up cases unless it's a straight lug Speedmaster ;) I respect your preference for untouched, of course. Actually the 24 hour hand is not blue on both sides so is the right way up here.
