First Execution Reduced Speedy

Hi all,

I will soon receive this reduced Speedmaster, which I was really surprised to find. I have never been aware of the fact, that the very first reduced had a different case back. Do you have any more info about this variation? For how long has that been in production?
I have found some few others on the net but not much info...

Yes that is the late 80s/early 90s back, not uncommonly seen.
