Coming to terms with the fact that I might not get to own an A386 is a hard pill to swallow!

 

The case is a mark 2 and not a mark 1.

 

Thats beautiful, and at the current deltas in pricing, is much more attractive!

 

Thanks for the compliment, but what really kills me is the fact that I had the chance to buy one of these A386s about four years ago at a small fraction of this price. I just didn't know enough about them to move on it, or so I though!

Keep me honest folks: replacement crown, mk1 caseback on mk2 case, polished case. I'm willing to pay for a mk1 but would pass on this one

 

Pushers look different! Upper one is slightly thiner than lower one. (Or maybe it is due to angel of photo..)
