    Hello,

Has anyone bought a vintage watch from fineauctionclub.com? and if so what are your thoughts?

I am after purchasing my first vintage watch more notable a Semaster DeVille Automatic on the link below

    https://www.chrono24.co.uk/omega/se...l-crosshair-mens-vintage-watch--id8458452.htm

Would anyone be able to give some more information as to how genuine the watch is and also if it is worth the asking price.

    Thanks in advance

That is not actually the name of the seller. Look again. The price is at least 2x too high IMO.

Strikes me as being wildly overpriced.

Thanks Tony, I was sceptical but with the watch being in such good condition I was unsure

I’d be concerned they are selling 5 different ones of these in black and an obvious Korean redial with a red face. Not a single good straight on shot of the face in any listing.

Leads me to believe the black dials are redials from the same place.

The OP linked watch is a redial, black cross hair SMDV’s do not exist.

Can anyone recommend a reputable vintage dealer that I may be able to get a SMDV 563 calibre from?

Unfortunately, this just isn't the way that the vintage watch market works. You need to hunt patiently, and carefully inspect and vet anything you find.

Learned lots here already. Ditched my first used omega eBay purchase once I realized it was a redial. :(

Horribly overpriced, especially for a redial.

Perhaps one or two black dialed Seamasters out of 500 are genuine. Tread carefully!
