If someone could help me find the model of this watch it would be very much appreciated!
I used the serial number lookup to give me a rough range, telling me it was made between 1944- 1946.

For a bit of help, the serial number is 10969673 inside the watch itself.

My feeling is that it is a nationally cased watch or a re-cased watch. I don't know if there is much more information to be had.

It appears to be a locally cased model, movement is possbly a caliber 340 dating to 1946/1947.

What is the history of the watch?
What country is it located in?

Thanks for the help, my mum gave me the watch after she inherited it from a swiss/ austrian member of the family, and that's all I know historically, I'm currently in the UK however, but I don't think it's ever been serviced over here.

Movement loose in case? I would think there was a spring clamp at the bottom

Case is stamped, but as mentioned. No manufactures name

No it's pretty locked into the case, it doesn't move outside of its back-and-forth.
