Finding it hard to choose between these two

Sihh 2019 was quite disappointing to be honest. From Audemars Piguets' latest shenanigans with the code whatever the f***, to Richard Milles' candy ass bs. This has only solidified my love for omegas further.

I'm thinking real hard for my first purchase of 2019, and as usual, I turn to the expert advise of my fellow omegaforum members to help with the decision. I am totally town between these two pieces. The apollo 11 or the Scott Worden apollo.

1969 pieces vs 1971 pieces. Sedna gold vs red gold. Nato strap vs steel bracelet. Hesalite vs sapphire. I'm tearing my hair out! There also is the obvious issue of price. One is a bit higher in price than the other. I have found sellers for both the Scott Worden and the apollo 11, and there is a price difference of around 3000usd between the 2. Despite the price difference, both watches are being offered at very reasonable prices. It really is a matter of which one to go for. The condition of the apollo 11 is much better than the Scott Worden too.

Arghhh the decision is too hard for me to make. I humbly ask, if you guys were to pick one, which would you pick and why? Goes without saying that any input would be immensely appreciated.

The Apollo 11 for me. It is different then the norm, and quite sticking. The other is too easy to confuse for a Daytona from a distance.

Truth be told, I am leaning towards the apollo 11. I'm trying to justify whether it's worth an extra 3000usd. Do you think there is a huge difference in appearance between red and sedna gold?

I would need to see them side-by-side. But the Apollo has always grabbed my attention.

In the condition you show in your photos, Scott Worden. Hands down. Much nicer looking IMO.

But you said the Apollo 11 is in "much better" condition.

So... let's see them. The pics of YOUR actual candidates! ;)

The Apollo 11th 45th Anniversary IMO. Not sure what the pre-owned conditions are, but aesthetically, it's the winner for me. It looks cleaner, more understated elegance but still can be casual.

Good luck with the decision! Post some pics of the winner!

Seems like the apollo 11 is establishing a commanding lead so far. I will post pics of the winner for sure! Stay tuned, and please keep the votes coming in.

Regarding pics of the watches itself, I think for the sake of the seller's privacy, I'd refrain from posting actual pictures of the watches until I've made my purchase. Having said that, I can tell you that the Scott Worden has a small ding on the bezel just above .300, the rest are pretty much tolerable hairline scratches. The Apollo 11 though, is totally mint. Clean case, bezel, caseback and lugs.

Loving all the feedback so far

+1 for the Apollo 11. Looks cool, with subtle bling. The other one is a bit too flashy for me

Looks pretty cool on the bracelet too. Seems like a no-contest between the two at the moment. Most of the feedback for the scott worden is that it's too flashy/too close to a Daytona. I've got my finger on the trigger. Will wait another 24hrs before I pull it.

Unfortunately it only comes with the Nato strap, but I have a couple of spare speedy bracelets lying around so no biggie. Love the pics by the way, ahh that brown dial ::love::
