Finally, I received my grandfather's RESTORED Longines timepiece from HQ workshop in Switzerland! :);)::rimshot::
It took almost 7 months from date of confirming the maintenance requirements until having the watch back but the result is worth waiting!
This model is swiss made that carries both signs of Longines and Wittnauer, as "model was a national production Wittnauer, which means that Longines has manufactured the movement but not the dressing components. (Longines and Wittnauer used to work together as “Longines Wittnauer Cooperation” many years ago)" ( extracted from email sent to me from Longines customer service)
Enjoy the photos and please give me your comments below.

Lovely restoration. Do you have a picture before vs after?

Why does the spacing of LONGINES make the I seem like it was jammed in there?

Good point! I could have worried about that before receiving the certificate of authenticity . Probably it was the bad photo taken by myself at the watchmaker's at that time!
    Thank you @ulackfocus

This is beautiful! I love the dial face color and texture! Wonderful job! I would use it as an excuse to spend a whole bunch money on dinner with my wife & daughter!

I agree with the dial texture - very cool. Somewhat similar to the Grand Seiko "snowflake" dial. Dare I ask what that service set you back?

Interesting, the lettering looks uneven even beyond the I and on the boxed in digits too.

    Beautiful restoration.

True! To understand this i would need to compare with 1973 produced movements.

    Thank you guys

Yes @argonbeam love that creamy snow-flake!
Original case and case-back are refinished, original dial refinished and reprinted (redialed), movement serviced and rusty parts are replaced. The seconds hand was missing as well as the original crown, so a set of hands was fitted and a new crown. Also, a new crystal was casted specially for this watch as i have requested for full restoration *i dont see a problem with the original acrylic crystal except a few minimal scratches that can be removed by professional polishing*

I think the watch is now ready to move to the next generation in the family :)

It does look a bit wonky but I've noticed that with some other later movements. Another example of something similar:

Alas somehow the item is blocked when I click on the link. :(
Could someone who can get to it kindly post the movement picture?
