I've been looking for one of these watches for quite a while now. Even contacted a few of the big collectors here to see if they might have one of these for sale. No luck. Well, I fluked out and found one on Ebay. Offered him a price an hour into his auction and he accepted! The strap originally came with a vintage stainless steel buckle which is perfect because the watch did not come with one. The box was separate but everything together make a great package. I wear the strap lose so it does not strain / stretch the strap at all. The strap makes the gold arrowhead markers, Omega and hands pop right out! The lugs on the watch are sharp! Case (2582 - 5 SC) has little scratches but to me it means the case hasn't been polished. Dial has very small amount patina which is only visible with the watch turned a certain way in the right amount of light. Cal 505 in the watch, nice and clean. Watch sets and adjusts smoothly. Keeps time excellently. Crystal has the original Omega symbol in the center. With this watch getting all of the wrist time now I think I will have to sell my Omega Deluxe. Here's the wrist shot.
Looks fantanstic! Now get the watch off of that strap and save it only for special occasions. Those are so rare, I'd hate to see it worn out by everyday use. Get a nice modern leather band, move the original buckle over and wear that Constellation with pride. One of the nicer examples I've seen in a long time. gatorcpa
Gotta say I really like how you roll..... Most guys buy a strap for their watch. Can't wait to see this future thread.... "Which watch looks best with my strap?" Nice pickup!
