It's no secret that Casa Fagliano makes the cordovan straps for some of JLC's Reversos.

It's also no secret that you have to wait a long time to get one of those if you order it from them. The straps are lovingly handmade, and judging from the queue, there are a lot of people all over the world wanting to get their hands on one of them!

So way back in Dec 2014, I placed an order for a custom short brown strap for my TTR 1931. CF was very kind and informed me of the long waiting time, which I was cool with. They placed me on the waiting list, and in April they contacted me to tell me they were ready to make my strap.

A few more months of waiting ensued. And just yesterday, 7.5 months later, the strap finally arrived.

The strap fits really well, and I really love that shade of red-brown that matches the TTR 1931 perfectly. CF were also very accommodating in customizing the length (mine was especially short), and communications throughout were friendly and professional. Great chaps! This strap was totally worth the wait.

Erm, it still looks about the same! Granted, it's been only 4 months, and I wear it in rotation, so in the past 4 months it's probably been worn 20-25 times only. Ask me in a year and I should have concrete data ;)

Comfort-wise, and visually, it's still awesome. Goes well with office wear, or with jeans, very versatile!

Heh heh, of course I did. ;)

But the black one was for a good buddy of mine, not for me. My wallet can only take 1 Fagliano strap at a time!

Group shot - mine on the left, his on the right. The black gives it a rather different vibe indeed, and no matter what, the CF straps are far sexier than the default black croc strap that comes with the TTR1931, which is a tad too formal and staid IMHO.

hey @ELV web , turns out I've got a photo of my friend's 2 year old red-brown cig strap before he swapped it to the black one. This is not a great shot that I took, but a 2y old strap looks much the same as mine, though the stitching darkens slightly, which I've noticed on my 4 month old one too. The cordovan remains the same rich red-brown tone, though the surface becomes a bit more 'matte' (if it makes any sense!)

Nice watches. How much do these straps cost? Do they make for other watch brands as well?

Not sure if they make them for other brands honestly. The straps are pricey, about $500, but well worth it in terms of strap quality.

They seem to age very nicely, getting a bit darker but the stitches and all are so well made.

Looks really nice and looks like it will age really nicely.
And if you want to see more killer straps and you've never seen them, you should check Atelier du Bracelet Parisien
So stunning they caused me to catch the vintage watch bug. (other than that, I have no relation with them)

it surely will age nicely - just as any $49 shell cordovan (by horween) strap will age equally nicely...
