Ever since i've been bit by the watch bug, the omega speedy pro became one of my grails and i absolutely had to acquire one. So i worked and toiled to save enough funds to buy one. Sometimes i lacked focus and during the years there were a lot of impulse buys from other brands and so that speedy pro was always just out of reach.

After waiting for a good deal, finally someone had a 1984 model 145.022 cal 861 for sale that was just a bit under my budget. I pulled the trigger the next day and took home with me a watch that will always make me smile whenever i think about it. [emoji1]

Congrats, I have one of those too as my birth year watch. Surprisingly difficult to find.

 

Actually i was looking for an '83 model as my birth year watch but that's twice as difficult to find. I only glimpsed one piece in 3 years of looking. Haha.
