路Hi folks,
Up for sale is a great vintage chronograph from the 1940s. Large 36mm case, 44.2mm lug to lug. Ball produced this chronograph under the Garland name which was one of their brands for the US market.
Only reason for selling is I am raising funds towards a new purchase.
Dial: Beautiful, original dial showing slight but even patina and is a real pleasure to watch the way it changes colors in different light. Signed Garland, 60 second and 30 minute counters. Original gold plated hands.
Case: Unpolished stainless steel case, signed Ball Company caseback. This is the main reason I purchased this watch as it is very sharp.
Movement: Valjoux 22, signed Ball company. Movement is running well and chronograph functions as it should. It was sold to me (in January of this year) as completely overhauled (taken apart, cleaned, oiled, adjusted and timed) however I did not receive any paperwork thus I am listing as service history unknown for transparency. Movement and timing pictures are from prior seller. The watch has not been opened in my possession.
Strap: comes fitted on a new red/brown croco style leather strap, 18mm size. I think it suits the watch nicely.
I am asking $1,050 USD (reduced to $1K) (now reduced to $900) (Final reduction to $850) with shipping included, CONUS sale only please. Payment to be made by PayPal, buyer pays fees if necessary.
I am really looking for a straight sale here, but as far as trades go I am most interested in 50s or 60s Omega but open to hear what you have.
I have several feedback both here on OF as well as The Rolex Forum. If you have any questions or require additional pictures just ask.
Thanks for the space OF, now on to the pictures.
