In 2002, the newly independent country of East Timor / Timor Leste ran their first independent presidential election, where freedom fighter Xanana Gusmao became president. This poster, produced by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) to promote democracy, the election and voting. I was in Dili for the election and personally brought this back. A priceless piece of political history and stunning piece of artwork.
