Roger will play doubles today with Rafa at the Laver Cup as his last competitive match on tour. The ending of the “big three” era is at hand. The goat debate will go on forever, but I don’t think Roger’s impact on the game and the way it’s played can be debated seriously.

I’ve been fortunate enough to see him play in person several times, and no one makes this game of tennis look as easy as he does. He will be missed!

Well, that was the match I would hope team Europe would win, so Roger could go out on a win. I have to say, Roger was very solid overall, and Rafa as the weaker player, even though Roger hadn’t played a match in 14 months.

End of an era...will very much miss seeing Roger play. I was hoping that if he wasn’t able to compete in singles, he would play doubles and mixed doubles.
