FedEx is apparently holding a package at my local delivery hub because their tracking says it is due for delivery by Wednesday June 29. I've never seen them intentionally sit on a package like this. Is it standard? Are the boys at the hub sporting my watch around for a couple of days?

    Tracking results:

    6/27/2016 - Monday
8:30 am At local FedEx facility BRONX, NY
8:17 am At local FedEx facility BRONX, NY

Happened to me a few times. Even showed up at the local facility where it was being held but only retrieved it once - apparently it is packed deep inside a container which isn't scheduled to be sorted until the originally scheduled delivery day.

Asked my wife about this (she is part of FedEx International Division). @MSNWatch is correct. Containers are sorted out on scheduled day of delivery. It will be there when promised.

Yep, my 300 was scheduled for delivery on a Tuesday, and it arrived in in Raleigh on Sunday...sat in a container until Tuesday morning.

I always arrange to have my fedex deliveries held for pickup at my local distribution center. I can always get it first thing in the morning, not have to wait for a delivery or arrange for someone to wait, not worry if the delivery is late, not have to worry if the regular driver is off and, most importantly, not have to be grilled by others wondering why "YOU GOT ANOTHER WATCH?????" I also have a PO box for similar reasons.

I've never had to wait for any "sortings" when a package was held for pickup

Had this happen to me with a pair of shoes recently. The reason makes sense but it feels like such a tease.

Personally, I kind of liked how my recently purchased watch did a farewell tour of the US before heading across the pond :D

    Probably!

Just like that scene from Ferris Bueller's Day Off...where those parking garage dudes take Cameron Frye's father's 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California out for a joyride. ;)

Inconsistent with the 'Express' in the company name. I guess I can live with it as long as the delivery dudes are not "renting" the watch.

I just had a package that was delivered and then rejected at the same time. It went back to the sender and Fedex has no idea what happened...

Just like the logo has that hidden arrow between the E and X maybe the express part has a hidden asterisk. *express does not guarantee express delivery of your packages.

Have no FedEx in Darwin and even express that lands in Sydney gets handed over to a third party to ship to Brisbane and then to a fourth party for a 4-5 day
Road trip ( should be a overnight service) to Darwin then handed to the fifth party Australia Post to deliver.
    No tracking from Sydney

What is the percentage of watches that never quite make it to the Standy Ranch?

Might it be worthwhile to take a metal detector (or Geiger counter :cautious:) to the roadsides and rest areas approaching the estate?

Going through my own little personal hell with Fedex at the moment as well. They are just the absolute worst, and no way in hell am I going out to that Bronx facility.

    Good luck OP

If you think FedEx is bad try shipping via US Post...

    Sorry, loucifer.

If I had Lou's watches, I'd put all my watches in a bag and drown then in the East River. Right off Pier 17 (old slip).

Don't worry, I'm not jealous of you, Lou. Just really jealous.

I've actually never had an issue with USPS, Auspost I've had a couple issues with but the American posties never seem to do too badly.

The Italians on the other hand have a postal service truly worthy of complaint.

I'm pleased to say that USPS and AUSPOST are behaving very well at the moment.

USPS, San Diego to Melbourne, 3 days.

Now at local facility, and still three days left in the week.
