Ok so whats everyone's favorite beer type? Mine has to be doppelbock I especially like the Sam Adams variety.
I drink Schlitz by choice, Blue Ribbon if the bar doesn't have it. Now that said, I like bock, red lager, Oktoberfest... I just don't drink those every time. Tom
At this point it is whatever stout is on tap; prefer a coffee finish. Second choice is whatever is on sale.
Whatever I have in front of me... Seriously, a good English bitter, a good weissebier, Sapporo fresh from the brewery? It all comes down to who I am drinking with...
As an ex beer judge. My go to beer is Racer 5 ipa. Yeah it's a horrible ipa but I love it. Of all time Lagunitas used to make a high gravity cream ale called Sirus. Man I loved that beer.
Young's Double Chocolate Stout Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout Samuel Smith Taddy Porter Yuengling Porter Yuengling Black & Tan Arrogant Bastard Ale JW Dundee Honey Brown *this with Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout is THE SMOOTHEST Black & Tan ever!!! Lindeman's Framboise Lambic (raspberry) *this if freakin awesome with Young's Double Chocolate Stout Lindeman's Pomme Lambic (apple)
Tried this tonight and it became my new favourite IPA. "Cockpuncher IPA" out of Toronto, 11% ABV. Yup, that's the name.
Brains Dark, brewed in Cardiff a few miles from where I grew up. If I can't get that then I like any kind of stout as long as it doesn t have some exotic crap added to it like orange or chocolate. When ever I am on holiday I always try to drink the local brew, which is usually some kind of pils or lager.
Too hard, there are so many awesome beers, but this Alt Verige is pretty special, on tap in a wee pub which started slinging eye of newt/ wing of bat, arcane bevvies back in 1490
Brought up as an Aussie boy in the 70s we used to sneak the vile and sweet Tooheys New and KB (kiddies beer) when the bottle shop owners didnt really care how old you were. Lucky domestic beer has improved a long way and you are correct, no Australian really drinks Fosters anymore My current favourite is what ever I am drinking at the time..
@Aussie Jim was only telling a young fella at work a few weeks ago about VB throwdowns 250ml bottles that were about $11 a 24 case when they came out. Case a throwdowns was a night out........
Ah you know how to have a good time! I recall a few battles with those little devils. Hard to know why they bothered really
Taddy Porter! Great beer, brewed about 15 miles from me. The owner (descendant of Sam Smith) is a bit of a nut case by all accounts.
