·My son in China sent me a seagull watch. The only problem is it never came. He sounded so happy and excited asking me if I got it I said yes. I know lying isn’t cool but he was so happy apparently he mailed it 4 weeks ago. Fortunately we were on the regular phone or he would have wanted me to see it. About a year ago, maybe a little longer I gave up on sending watches back and forth to China as 3 vintage seamaster I sent went MIA. Honestly prior to that, even in the midst of covid in the US I had no problems with shipping to China.
So I need to pick up a seagull watch but I’m in the middle of a deal for a 90’s (or 2000’s I forget off hand) seamaster with a great member here. Anyone know a good source for a not too expensive seagull? Alibaba is that stuff fake? I really don’t want to carry out a charade but I can’t tell him the watch was lost he will be heartbroken. Maybe it will pop up before we talk again but I doubt it.
