Hi, Everything could fit in the title but it would be too simple My wife ask me, which gift do you want for your father day (Oh yes, my son is too young to do gift and with covid19 I'll avoid the gift from the school) ? I've a lot of idea like a Seamaster 120m Quartz, a Seamaster 200m Pro automatic or a Speed ... but it's too much expensive So I decided to request a book on watchmaking, a general book not complicated. I've found two books which seem great : * The Watch Book - Compendium * A Man & His Watch: Iconic Watches & Stories from the Men Who Wore Them* What do you think about this books ? Do you think I can have better for less 70EUR and translated or wrote in french ? Thanks a lot guys.
Can’t comment on The Watch Book, but have read the other, got it on Kindle for free, it was interesting, but not overly so, my brother has the hard copy, which is obviously much nicer. The Watch Book looks great though.
A decent steak! You can download this one from many places, including archive.org. TM 9-1575 Ordnance Maintenance Wrist Watches, Pocket Watches, Stop Watches, and Clocks. Or find yourself a paper copy on eBay?
