Nice spotted! I haven't seen that before, maybe I got a bag of loose spare parts that they had lying around
It was the Janitor , "Oi mate I found all these spare parts on the floor while cleaning up , whaddya want me to do with em".

It looks great, you are happy with the results, sounds like nothing but a win for you! Congrats on reviving the watch to where you can enjoy wearing it again.

Nice to hear that you are satisfied with the result! 馃憤

Would be interesting to see some 'before' pictures as well...

I found this picture from before service, but it is the movement.

So it looks the same? Just a service and new crystal?

I have examined the serviced watch extra closely and there is actually a difference. The crown is a little higher. Judging by pictures of other watches of the same model, the new crown is correct.

Baffling...

The part at the red arrow has no functional purpose, so cannot wear - it is just a spacer (substitute bridge is the official name) that fills the gap where the automatic winding system would normally go, since this is a manual wind (1030). It has no visible damage or defect from the photo, so why replace it?

And yet, there's more...

There are two of the same part (date corrector lever) in the bag of used parts...the movement only uses 1. 馃槙馃槙馃槙

Here is another picture of the replaced spacer. There is a mark on one side, as if something was damaged or broken off.

And one other thing that might be worth mentioning. The new crystal has an omega logo inset. The old one didn't have it, barely visible but you can see it if you look really closely.
