Well, I honestly did not know that an earlier ref dial was accepted in a later production case, but it all made sense in the end. I cannot be grateful enough for the help that I have been provided here by our kind fellow OF'ers. The execution of the dials I compared was also very different which tripped a false alarm in my mind. Design language change I guess.
I did apologize and everything was fine. I'm glad to have been proven wrong.
I'm still studying all the documentation I can find but sadly, spotting good redials and geniune dials incorrect for a reference is one of those skills that takes year of experience. Next time I'll keep my pie hole shut.
