Ok, had to look really hard to see the 4 after 032. Looked up the ref for 166.032 and it’s a totally different watch.

Looks Kosher to me...whether the bezel, dial, and hands are replacement or not would be my question. Looks so fresh as to be repaired and updated to modern Omega spare parts for all the visible cosmetic parts.
Yes 166.0324 should be the reference

It's a Watchco - by definition made of all new service parts, and a vintage movement that is likely from another model.

If the seller wants real money for this, he needs to up his photographic game and description- it sucks. If he’s on here-read last sentence.

Flooding the market with cobbled together watches...started around the Omegamania time or earlier?
Sucks because eventually they will be worn a bit and sold likely as genuine vintage.

Yes it is what it appears to be...pieces
Not sure what you seem to make of my statement...watchco has sold more cases than omega may have ever made, so how is that?
Yes yes, saying watchco makes it ok to forum members

As much as I am not a fan of the way Watchco has marketed new parts as "NOS", I would never accuse them of selling fake cases.

Omega has made the service case for a long time and still makes them now. There's absolutely no evidence to suggest that Watchco "may have sold more cases than Omega ever made."

So if a speedmaster bezel is either genuine or "service parts" meaning made for omega but not as a new watch component ona watch, then how are these omega watches not service parts frankensteins?

I always thought of a Franken as a combination of genuine parts, but from different models assembled together to make a comlpete watch- like wrong hands and crown on later style dial in earlier case with incorrect movement for the ref.
    A fake is a fake.

And back to my original reason for the thread, I remember some FAKE SM300 cases rolling around out there with funky numbers in the case back. The one i posted is really hard to read in the pictures so I was questioning if it was one of those fakes, but after others pointed it out- I can barely see the correct # is there

You obviously have no idea of who Watchco were, what they did, and the variety of watches they put together when they were the sole Omega agents in Australia.

Here is the inside of one of the counterfeit 165.024/166.024 case backs which @JwRosenthal is speaking of. There are others out there too. This is NOT something ever sold by Watchco.
