I was looking at this and thinking something doesnt seem quite right, then realised its a fake but it does look like a fairly convincing copy at first glance http://www.ebay.com/itm/391057341664Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Shit! that's scary! They're getting better all the time Three years ago I would have been bidding on that
It was the T SWISS MADE T that caught my eye at first and then I noticed everything else is slightly off. The 500, 400 and 350 on the bezel though are
Seems they have gotten the sub dial placement correct this time. Getting the dial printed correctly should be the least of their problems.
There's no way for them to make the markers at 3 and 9 long enough to look authentic, though. edit: I'm glad that "good" fakes of the Speedmaster Pro are still so easy to spot.
You're correct, the sub dials are still not where they should be, I was thinking reduced. I bet it's a ST1901 inside.
I messaged him and his response. This was his second message, as I first alerted him, the sent him this link. Thank you very much for alerting me to this.. I will take the listing down immediately.
Good lesson here for noobs like me. Now that I studied it and compared with others, I see numerous issues. But if I were shopping for this model, I may well have bid on it unless I posted it first here for opinions. It's gone now, BTW.
It would've totally fooled me. I have so much to learn and guess I will be wearing my cheap Luminox for a while longer. So much to learn just to buy a nice watch.
That is a bit scary - may be telling that there are no movement pics? Always thought it strange that the fake watch makers get some seemingly difficult bits (nearly) correct, but then mess up what I would have thought were the easier bits to get right!
These posts right here are why I read this forum. Always good to get educated on the fakers out there.
The pushers seemed a bit off, as well as the "T Swiss Made T" obviously being erroneous, but still a scary prospect for someone who might've bought it.
