Hello everybody, Some time ago, my Omega Seamaster chronometer F300Hz, which I owned for 36 years was stolen in my home. In the time, this watch was purchased new. (A gift from my aunt for my 12th birthday). Since a couple of months now, I have been looking to buy an other -vintage- Omega watch. (I love the brand). But there are so many pitfalls.. I would rather not make a crucial mistake. Could someone give her or his opinion on the following watch ? Ref N° 168.005 Cal 564 Year of manufacture : 1967 The year 1967 seems strange to me because when I check this with the "fullcalibresdata" list, I read the following : So the year of manufacture clearly should be 1962, or am I wrong ? Thx a lot for your input
Welcome @rene4 The date you quote was the release date for a 168.005, the dogleg Connie was produced both before and after that date. ‘67 for your watch is ok but the watch you show has a very polished case which destroys its value as a collectible.
Thx a lot for this reply and for the welcome The search for a nice genuine Connie continues. Nice forum by the way with a lot of info, rather addicting when you start reading..
