I'm still looking for the perfect one (a gift for my husband's birthday) and have 3 new pieces to assess :) Do the attached photos show original watches?
Again - thank you for your help!

All watches seem to be original. You should get better photos of the dials straight ones and close enough, so that you can check if there is a redial.

Furthermore I would try to get some shots in natural light. Dealer photos under artificial light are sometimes manipulated and often misleading. And do your research before asking here. The aim should be that you yourself can tell a “good” from a “bad” watch...

The black dial is not original, no need for straight shots to pick that redial.

    Sorry Henneth,
you are right in general but here a wife is looking for a present for her husbands birthday only - I think learning here for weeks is a bit over the top ;)

You are right, I missed that part, that would be a little over the top. I should read the OPs post more carefully... :whistling:

Yes my friend, I totally agree. I would also add that all three dials are totally repainted, but I would not want to discourage the lady.
The watches look great though, and if the husband is not a collector and just loves Omega and vintage looks, anyone would be excellent for him, especially the white ones .

How did you come to that conclusion?

Omega is too bold on the first one and both white dials enjoy very “thick” white paint ... however it might be just my humble thoughts ...

If I was a gambling man I would say 1&3 are legit and 2 is a redial. Better photos needed before anyone can make a proper call on these.

You are right. That’s what I also said in the first place. I am sorry if I sounded so sure

to the OP: if I had to choose from the three I would go for the 3rd. nice clean looking original dial and the screw back case is a plus.

As indicated above, #2 is a re-dial but the others look good at first glance. I think that the third one has a case diameter of 34.5mm, do you know the size of #1? And do you know you husband's preferences for gold vs. stainless steel?

Thank you very much for all the advice. As said above I needed some expert help and didn't have time to do the proper research. The idea was to get a gold, simple Omega, so after reading your comments I have decided to go for number one.
    Thanks again!

It appears all original and in good condition, a sound choice. Are you aware that vintage watches need servicing? If it has not been serviced recently, the oils will dry out and using it will gradually damage the movement. I don't know where you live but here in England a good watchmaker will charge £150-200 and it's a false economy to cut corners with a cheap alternative.

I don't have any idea if you have some kind of budget restrictions: Number one will be far more expensive than number three I guess.

If you like you can have the prices checked here, either in the thread or by a PM, I think @Edward53 will help you with that also :) [EDIT: I'm not familiar with solid gold references pricing :(]

I like number three because it's more casual than the first one. It also looks clean and has a nice case.

But this is of course my personal point of view...
