    Hi Guys,

I'm new here and would like your help to identify if this watch is fake or not.

Looks like the real thing to me. The red tip on second hand is faded indeed. And the bezel is slightly faded also. Looks like a nice watch for its age.
    Regards.

Looks ok, nice watch. Do you have a close up and clear picture of the dial?

Thanks Guys, I haven't bought it yet as I was in doubt of its legitimacy.
This is available at a very low price on a website from Brazil (the country I'm from) like Ebay.
So I got suspicious although the pics looked fine.
Thanks a lot for your help! I will go for it.

Sorry edit this message. I must read more before posting. Since you have not purchased it and there is doubt best do more homework if still doubtful leave well alone. If it is to good to be true it normally is.

The end links should be flush with the lugs, right?

yep, endlinks are def. shady ... I recalled right that they had the "sloping" holes where you put the fork-tool into

    plenty of pics:

upon closer inspection of bracelet in all pics: all the links look too much 3D, too sculptured, too cushion-shaped vs. the ones from OFrei, esp. noticable on the broader center link which have a lateral cutoff which is quite sharp vs. the ones shown.
watch seems legit - bracelet might be fake one ...:whipped:

    cheers Al

Can you confirm the number on the end links? This looks like a midsized model.

One end link shows a larger gap between case and end link then the other one. This can be due to mismatched spring bars giving it more play. The number on this end link is 824 as it should (bracelet number 1502/824) but note that the number seems to be punched on the metal and so it looks slightly depressed. Not the Omega quality one expect. And indeed the slope is missing. The second/bottom picture of Ofrei shows the spring bar holes not to have a slope. But please note that is a 20 mm end link. The centre links look indeed more rounded then the Ofrei picture shows, maybe to much to blame it on just a polish or daily wear and tear. I am not sure about the bracelet now, it may be a fake one.
The watch indeed looks like the midsize model with the 18 mm bracelet but I can' read the case number on the pics..
Where would we be without Ofrei's website as a reference.
    Regards.

The following photo is from a 1504/826. Notice the squarer holes for where one would access the spring bars. I believe the photos of the 1502 and 1503 appear to be more curved due to lighting differences.

That is a possibility, they are very dark pics.
I've checked on my own SMP (825 end link, 20 mm) and the curve/slope is very much there.
Not having these on the end links on the watch raises some doubts about the bracelet on the watch. You picked that up well.
    Regards.

This is from my full size smpc which has the 1515 bracelet with 816 links. There's a degree of variation with all of the bracelets.

I wouldn't presume to tell you what to do. We may have caused too much concern to proceed, tho the watch head itself looks ok.

Reach out to user watchvaultnyc. He also has a website. He's based here in nyc. He comes across early model bonds fairly often, including the midsized ones I believe. If you end up passing on this one, he maybe be able to help you out.

i presume with the op being in brazil, the current FX hikes make a purchase in ny not viable (speaking from latam experience)
