This has a JL logo on the dial top but only the LeCoultre name below. Does that happen sometimes, or is it fake?

The watches sold in the US did not have Jeager for a fairly large time period. Oddly I see them for sale from Europe more often.

That model is called “Golden Heritage”.

All US Market LeCoultres made circa 1960 or later have the “JL” logo. Some models, like the Futurematic, never had it.

Gatorcpa:
That is a very interesting watch paper with respect to the Vacheron Constantin- LeCoultre being a division of Longine Wittnauer. As such, does the VC association make these watches more desirable?

The US "VXN" import code assigned to LeCoulter is often erroneously associated Vacheron Constantin.

More desirable than what?

These are two separate watch factories in Switzerland. LeCoultre did make some parts for VC years ago.

This is a common misconception perpetuated by watch dealers trying to squeeze a few extra dollars from a vintage LeCoultre.
