Fake Insert?

I'm looking at this 145.022 69 st from 1972 and I believe this insert is aftermarket. I didn't think the non-DON bezels were supposed to have a mark over the "E" in tachymetre. Can anyone confirm that this is indeed aftermarket? Thanks!

Not aftermarket, it’s genuine modern Omega. Clearly not appropriate for a ‘69.

Bezels from around 1997 (3570.50 model) forward have an accent over the e as well. This looks OK for a genuine service replacement bezel from the last 20 years or so.

Good deal, thanks for that. Do you know the general value for an insert from this Era if I wanted to find a correct replacement.

This reference was fitted with either a DoN or DNN, depending on serial. The early production years came with a DoN and later transitioned to DNN.

Expect to pay a hefty premium for a DoN ($1-4K) depending on condition, and sub $1K for a DNN.

I can’t tell if your watch has a step dial, which is the hallmark of a ‘69/71 dial with short markers.

The chronograph hand is also not original to the watch.

Would also like to take a closer look at the crown...

EDIT: After reviewing I think the crown is correct, sorry!
