    Hello,

I am considering purchasing this apparently vintage Omega Seamaster. What is the easiest way to tell if this is a fake? Thank you

Years of looking at genuine examples. I do not claim to be an expert but that looks gen to me.

Having a look inside can tell you if the movement/case are genuine and whether they are a match. The watch you show looks legit, but appears to be a refinished dial. There is no way to know about the movement without having a look on the inside.

The font on the "Seamaster" doesn't look quite right; I would agree about a refinished dial. Gotta have a look under the hood to know if it's the real thing...

I would like to see better picture of the dial with hand out of the way but from OP picture I think font looks just fine for this reference.
Here is mine for reference (no pun intended;))...

The dial has been refinished in the past

Thank you to everyone for the responses. It is very helpful.

One post indicated getting the watch "cheap" or buy a better one. What is cheap for this unverified Omega?
