Hello, I am considering purchasing this apparently vintage Omega Seamaster. What is the easiest way to tell if this is a fake? Thank you
Having a look inside can tell you if the movement/case are genuine and whether they are a match. The watch you show looks legit, but appears to be a refinished dial. There is no way to know about the movement without having a look on the inside.
The font on the "Seamaster" doesn't look quite right; I would agree about a refinished dial. Gotta have a look under the hood to know if it's the real thing...
I would like to see better picture of the dial with hand out of the way but from OP picture I think font looks just fine for this reference. Here is mine for reference (no pun intended)... Ref. 2635 Cal. 354 Black Gilt Dial
Thank you to everyone for the responses. It is very helpful. One post indicated getting the watch "cheap" or buy a better one. What is cheap for this unverified Omega?
